Summer 08' Update

I (Jared) am AWESOME at updating this thing...we've had an entire summer go by without one update. Curse me for my lack of dedication and procrastination habit...
Becca read what we already had on this thing, and she had one problem...it was mostly about me. I know, I love the spotlight. To redeem myself in wife's eyes I decided to create the BECCA CORNER...here it is:

This is Becca's model pose...nice!

This is how Becca looks when she questions my decisions...

Hi, I'm happy!!!

This is a "tough" pic of Becca...she's carrying a grand total of 40 lbs on her back...ooooooo!

Becca is not acting here folks, this is how she sleeps sometimes...legs lifted and everything...why she does it noone will know, but I have my theories. One theory has to do with "airing out"...she'll be mad at me for this photo!

This is "get the camera out of my face look"...it may look innocent and sweet, but that's what she's saying!

THAT CONCLUDES THE 'BECCA CORNER' FOR NOW...KEEP A SHARP EYE OUT FOR FUTURE CORNERS!

Becca and I started our summer out on a healthy note. In June we performed in a triathlon together in Pleasant Grove. It was a small tri...the run was a 5k, biked 8 miles, and swam 500 yards. Even though it was small, it was still a good test of our physical abilities...

The guy in the red shirt tied in a gay way is my bro-in-law, Brant. Just for the record, Brant finished the race in 9th place and I followed in 10th...not too bad! Becca finished...1st! Awesome!!!

I have also started a new business this summer. Actually, Aaron (my brother) and I have started it. This is what it's called:

In a nut shell we are a company offering curriculum based programs that promote active and healthy lifestyles. Go to http://www.echo8alf.com/ to learn all about it. Tell your friends and family!

4TH OF JULY

We spent the day playing in the sun, feeding our faces with good bbq, watching the parade, and marveling at the fireworks!

JARED'S MOTORCYCLE TRIP

It's always fun to spend a week on a motorcycle. Believe me, road trips are never the same when you've spent it on a motorcycle. We started from Salt Lake and went through Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, South Dakota, & Colorado. We also stopped by places in Yellowstone, Bear Tooth Pass, Custard State Park, Devil's Tower, Mt Rushmore, & Rocky Mountain State Park. It was a GREAT time...you can go to http://www.sturgistrip2008.blogspot.com/ to check it out in more details.

ANNUAL GRAND DADDY BACKPACKING TRIP

Every year we take a backpacking trip into the Uintah Mountains. We stay in the Grand Daddy Basin. It's great to get up there and forget all the chaos of normal life and enjoy God's creation.

LAKE POWELL

There were 2 trips to Lake Powell this year. Taylor was able to go to both of them, however, Becca and I did not get to go on both. A trip took place in August, Bec and Tay went on that trip. Then another in September, Tay and me went on that trip. Lucky Taylor! We all had fun regardless, except when Taylor had to take a bath in the cold water at night!

HOGLE ZOO

As a family we went to Hogle Zoo. I hate the place becuase it's a prison for animals, but I will admit some good rehab programs do take place. (I'll get off my box...) It is a good place for young kids like Tay to check out cool animals, so we experienced that with him. If you decide to go, check out the bird show...that was pretty cool!

THAT'S IT FOR NOW...SEE YA!
